A Message From Our Founder
I am a full-time gastroenterologist and private practice physician. I know firsthand how difficult it is to run a busy medical practice while still delivering excellent patient care.
Practices are overwhelmed by patient phone calls and messages, scheduling, insurance work, prior authorizations, billing, patient intake, and EHR tasks.
"At the heart of excellent patient care is a simple principle: patients deserve timely, personal responses from a dedicated healthcare team."
That personal response is what patients feel, appreciate, and remember. It is also one of the most important ways patients perceive the quality of care a practice provides. To deliver that level of care, a practice needs enough trained staff, and medical staffing is one of the most expensive parts of running a practice.
That is why I founded MedGather. Our medical virtual assistants help practices provide timely, personal patient care with affordable, dependable staffing.
Remote medical assistants only work when the system is secure and properly managed. That cannot be done reliably from an unsupervised home environment. MedGather uses a fully secure, office-based model with direct supervision, accountability, and built-in compliance controls.
Our goal is simple: help physicians reduce administrative burden, strengthen operations, and spend more time delivering exceptional personal patient care.

Confronted with the challenges of understaffing in his own clinic, our founder, Dr. Ruel Garcia, realized the need for reliable medical virtual assistants. However, the typical remote work environment of a medical virtual assistant introduces potential risks to HIPAA compliance.
Determined to solve the challenges he faced, he founded a medical virtual assistant company where assistants work from a secure, offshore facility that ensures constant oversight, data protection, and the highest standard of service Filipino workers can provide. MedGather’s Remote Medical Office was launched with a team of four virtual assistants. From there, MedGather has expanded its team and the services it offers starting with providing After Hours Support.
With a strong commitment to excellence, MedGather was able to expand our services beyond healthcare, taking on a wider range of administrative tasks in different industries with our Remote Office Support.
What started as a solution to one doctor’s challenge has grown into a dedicated remote office allowing us to provide meaningful job opportunities to more virtual assistants, while also supporting an increasing number of offices with reliable, high-quality servicessomething we’re truly grateful to be a part of.
